This is more curiosity than actual problem. The Mazda OEM pads were quiet and lasted forever (got 72k from the first set and seriously about 100k with the second set). It was a manual transmission and I am very efficient with brake use. I was just wondering how this would compare with the 2004 Acura TSX I just bought (automatic). Shop personnel who actually know only please.
Answer:i've seen my share of hondas and acuras that didn't have the first brake job done until after 100k miles. it depends how the car is driven mostly. the best thing you can do is buy oe pads because they are designed for your car.
I am planning to get a new car. As a first time driver I wanted a nice looking car with safety feature and reliability. First I thought of buying fully loaded Honda Accord but I thought for similar price I can get entry level luxury car like Acura TSX. Do u think its a good idea? Do u also thin if I wait a while I will get the 2009 models for a good bargain since 2010 is approaching.
Answer:You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carinsurance.yoll.net
I am thinking about to get a new car. Acura TSX is my top choice. My friend asked me to get a Pre-owned Certified Acura as TSX has been out for several years. Otherwise, just wait a year or two for a new generation of TSX. What do you guys think of Pre-owned Certified Acura TSX? Please advise. Thanks!
Answer:the new generation tsx will be the 09 model which will be coming out sometime in 08. I own a 06 milano red/ebony int 6speed/w nav for almost 6 months. It has almost 15,000 miles on it. Love it. would recommend it. if all possible get manual transmission. I would also recommend you try the honda accord or toyota camry also. test drive them and then decide. do not rush into a hasty decision- car salesmen have a way a trying to get you to buy immediately. do not settle for the price-always try to go lower go to different dealers and then let them hassle. my parents own a98 honda accord- they seem to be spending alot of money on it's maintenance-continuous problems. it has only 66,000 miles.
First I noticed the clock was real dim and as I am staring at it wondering why, it came back on. Then a little later the clock, the radio and the temp controls were real dim. Now, none of them are on at all. Is this something simple like a fuse, or am I really going to have to drop my car off to Acura. Sigh. This is a 2004 TSX and I purchased it from Acura this past June.
Answer:This happened to me too, when I "accidently" hit the screen where the radio and temperature was. So i brought it over to my car dealer and they said that some light were shoke to hard and misplaced causing it to burn out, i suggest u bring it over to a Acura dealer and check whats wrong
How can you program a 2009 acura tsx key (memory 1)? The dealer price is $130. Is there any way that I can do it by myself? Or for cheaper?
Answer:I work at an Acura dealer in PA. There is absolutlely no way for you to program that key by yourself. It has to be sync'd to the car with Honda's scan tool. You could buy the scan tool for a few grand if you want... but i doubt honda would sell you one anyways And to that locksmith guy below me, no a local locksmith will absolutely NOT be able to program one of the new keys for an acura. Honda has very specific programs and protocols that must be met before the PCM will accept a new key. Honda has not released any of these computer protocols to any other company. Might work for a Honda thats a few years old but definatly not for a brand new 2009. I'll put a 100% guarantee on that.
