Latest Acura Vigor Frequently Asked Questions:
I need to know if anyone can either give me instructions or point me in the right direction to find the starter on my 1994 Acura Vigor?
Answer:the starter like anything to do with a Vigor is a major pain I think you should spend money elsware
I have checked the fuses and replaced them, I have also replaced the bulbs.
Answer:Sounds like the brake light switch. There's a switch that turns on your brake lights. From your brake pedal, follow it up. (You may need to remove a panel or two to see up). Somewhere between the pedal and where it exits the firewall, there's a switch. It's highly likely that this switch is broken or got out of adjustment. It should look like this: http://www.autozone.com/R,NONAPP8096/store,/initialAction,accessoryProductDetail/shopping/accessoryProductDetail.htm When you set on the brake pedal, the switch should pop out and close the electrical circuit (turning on the brake lights), when you release the brake pedal, it will push the switch in and break the circuit turning off the brake pedal.
how long has your acura vigor lasted for. im about to buy a 1992 with 250000km on it. what do you think
Answer:I don't know what's the condition of the vigor that has your attention, but if it has been even minimally cared for it should keep running until you can't find parts anymore, and for the time being parts are still available and cheaper than you might expect for an import. Luckily they're reliable and durable. I bought mine when it had 215,000 mi and it was, and is, as clean, quiet and tight as you could hope for. I have seen one well worn vigor that had 1.3 million mi when it came to the end of the line.
How much would a dealership charge? How much would a new head itself cause? Is it that difficult to replace? I know the basics about cars, hardest thing I have done is replace the intake manifold on a chevy camaro. Would this be a job I could handle?
Answer:If you've done an intake manifold, you could probably do a cylinder head without too much trouble. You would need at least a torque wrench. Go over to a book store and grab a Chilton's manual and it should describe the procedure for you in detail. I would think you could tackle it over a weekend. Not sure of the cost at a dealership, but my guess is that it would be fairly steep!

Answer:it will be over $1000, all together. The heads are expensive, and the installation is very expensive too
