Latest Audi A8 Frequently Asked Questions:
The battery is in the trunk
Answer:stick key in door and partially raise the door handle and turn key to unlock door/inside release trunk/or open hood and jump batt and then unlock trunk
Front turn bulb. Handbook not available as just relocating and shipment not complete.
Answer:I’m sorry but you would need to be slightly more descriptive. Also you’re probably much better off posting this question on an A8 forum. You would need to specify which model, year, etc. The light clusters might be different from one model to another. Alternatively, the quickest and easiest way is to take it to Halfords (if you’re in the UK). You can buy the bulb and they’ll fit it for free or a very small charge.
TCM being the transmission control module and TRS being the transmission range sensor? Thanks.
Answer:you can get this question answered on Audi world forums i have a 97 A6 and the TCM is located on the top front of the tranny itself. and they can be prone to getting wet and failing if the rubber seals go bad but im not sure on the A8

Answer:I work for Norwich Union, and the site in question relates to our "Pay-as-you-drive" system.. "Why do we exclude the Audi A8?.. Well quite simply, it's the only car that we cannot get the device to work in at present. We are looking for a solution though
I have been offered a 2005 Audi A8 W12 with 230,000km on the clock. The owner of the A8 assured me that the car has been very well taken care of, and all milage on the car is highway milage. He is selling at US15,000. My only concerns are if anything goes wrong and what if I want to sell it after a year. Its an absolute beauty of a car but do you think its worth buying?
Answer:these are wonderful cars as long as they dont need the service garage/all cars need repairs and maintenance/this one is super expensive to work on/usually only dealer can fix it and the parts are big money/at this miles you are looking into the bottomless money pit
