Latest BMW 3 Series Frequently Asked Questions:
I'm 17 and have just passed my test, I love the BMW 3 series and would love to buy one. I can afford one, for instance a 1996 model with just over 100,000 miles on the clock is around £800. It's just the insurance that's worrying me, would I be looking at extortionate ammounts? Im in the UK.
Answer:I have just bought a 325i and oh my god its wonderful. It is probably gonna be a bit expensive for you to insure as I have five yrs no claims and am 35 and its certainly more for me than my previous Honda but shop around Liverpool Victoria are generally quite competetive. The mileage should not really concern you as BMW s go forever if they have been properly looked after but maybe you should consider something more practical for now after all it is your first car...... From experience they are worth the wait x
I have a BMW 3 Series and when driving it feels a bit bouncy? The gap from the top of the wheel to the wheel arch is not huge but it a bit big. How much does it cost to get a car lowered nowadays? If I buy the kit myself and get a professional to do it, how much would we be talking? Thanks. Silly woman, you carry on driving your lexus. I won't lie to you fatrab. It is I.
Answer:http://www.gsfcarparts.com £59 for a set of lowered springs £100 - £200 for a set of shocks (standard or gas filled) I'd expect to pay my local friendly tyre fitter about £150 - £200 to fit the lot.
for example in my 08 JETTA SE, the lights are red and blue..like the audi.and I love it. I was just curious about the colors of the interior of a BMW 3 series!!?
Answer:The dash lights? They glow red. It's a BMW thing.
I am planning on buying a bmw 3 series coupe next month.I want to get the 6 speed manual transmission and i chose this car because of the driving experience. I just wanted to confirm my choice by asking owners for their comments or suggestions on why this car is good or bad. Any information is appreciated.Thanks.
Answer:I own a 2006 325i coupe. and for me it is just fine for day to day driving. it isn't "fast" but in manual it will be much more rewarding, mine is auto and a bit boring, even in sport mode. the 335 (if its in your budget) would be the most rewarding drive if you get 19" alloys expect it to effect ride quality. (you feel every bump on the road) Black or silver will be best for resale if you want a window tint, get it done elsewhere, you save $ oh and if your a music lover, upgrade the audio system, you will not regret it!
im talking about the new ones, like from 04 to 08 BMW 3 series coz i often hear ppl saying that kids around 16 to 20s driving a bmw are spoiled or pretendious and all that. what age are you supposed to be to drive those cars? i mean god forbid i have to be sucessful before i should buy one of those?
Answer:Once its affordable then its ok! Why consider them as spoiled! Cars were not meant to be driven by certain people... they are sold to the mass... and its a matter of personal choice/taste :-)
