I have a 1990 Buick Park avenue 3.8 liter. It use to run when it gets hot it cuts off. Now it won't start. I just put in a crank shaft censor and a knock censor. It still does the same. I sprayed starting fluid into the intake manifold and it will start and it will keep running until I get done spraying the Either. Thanks if you can help me.
Answer:That us ally means the fuel filter is plug ed or a defective fuel pump. A 1990 & hasn't had the fuel filter changed - [omg]
I really want to know if the valves or pistons will be damaged if the timing chain fails or slips on a 1997 Buick Park Avenue. On some engines the valves will never hit the pistons, and the engine will not be damaged. On other engines, the valves will strike the pistons, and very expensive damage will occur. What will happen in the engine in the 1997 Park Avenue?
Answer:timing chains do break. I have had one break on my car. It was a 89 Buick with the 3800 engine it ruined the whole engine. I cant say for sure for the 97 but I am sure it has the 3800 in it and they haven't really changed those engines too much so I would have to say that yes it would be catastrophic.
when i turn the air on the slight rattling ( from inside the pulley) goes away? its a 1999 buick park avenue not the ultra IS IT SAFE to drive bc when i turn the air on it makes no sound what so ever. only when the air is off. and how hard and how much would it be to fix?

I have a 97 Buick Park Avenue which had its rear, wheel hub/center cap pilfered. Where in Canada can I get a used one? The cap is chrome and has a 6 and 1/2 inch diameter. Where to get one used for less than the cost of a set of my limbs? Arm and a leg indeed! Brand new is over 150 bucks!!!
Answer:If the wheel is a factory wheel and not aftermarket, there are websites that sell used wheel center caps, along with hubcaps. Look online for "used hubcap sellers"
