Latest Cadillac DTS Frequently Asked Questions:

  • what size tires do I need for a 2003 Cadillac Deville DTS?
I need new tires for my 2003 Cadillac Deville DTS. The tires that are on it now are P225/60HR16, but when I look for the tire size it is supposed to have, it says P235/55HR17. Could the wrong size tires make them wear out faster? The car only has 45,000 miles on it and the tread is already worn thin.
Answer:The wrong size will not make the tire wear out faster but can cause problems with the car itself. They will change the way the speedo and odometer read, they also change the angle of the drive shaft. running with the tires not properly inflated will cause premature aging of the tires. Also problems with the alignment and suspension will cause your tires to meet an early demise. The tires you should have are 235/55/17

  • How do i take out the drivers side panel on a 2000 Cadillac Deville DTS?
I own a 2000 Cadillac Deville DTS and i have a slight problem. On the drivers side the frontal door where the window is, it just suddenly stopped working. At the moment the window is down and it wont go back up. Can anyone help me locate the screw/bolts? any help would be greatly appreciated
Answer:The handle etc are screwed on the panel it self is clipped on.

  • I have narrowed down my choice of cars to purchase to the Cadillac DTS or the Infiniti G35x, which one?
I have a quandary: I have narrowed my future car choices to a 2007 Cadillac DTS high performance version - (used) with 20,000 and certified pre-owned with a bumper to bumper warranty for 5 years and 100,000 miles, and a new Infiniti G35x with the premium and navigation package that has a 3 year 60,000 mile warranty. My wife likes the Infiniti better and thinks the Cadillac is an "old man's car" - I'm 44. What is everyone's opinion out there?
Answer:Both are good choices. Websites often give their own opinions about vehicles, but I wouldn't let that influence your decision. The DTS Performance Sedan is not an "Old Man's Car". If you were looking at a base DTS with a front bench, that's a different story. I've driven both, have friends that sell them, and know they both have good and bad traits. BTW, a Cadillac Certified Pre-Owned Warranty is actually 6 years or 100,000 miles bumper to bumper from original date of purchase. Personally, I would go with the DTS, but the G35 is not a bad choice. Good Luck with that!

  • What does the "TS" stand for in Cadillac DTS, CTS and STS?

  • Where can I find Bumper parts for a 2007 Cadillac DTS?
Im looking for the plastic rivits for the the rubber spoiler under the bumper. Does anyone know what Im talking about?
Answer:The clips that hold the spoiler in place right? Try the Cliphouse - 800-229-2547. I don't know if they deal with retail or just wholesale but they may be able to refer you to someone who does. If not, contact a dealer, they do sell just those pop rivets/clips.
