Currently I see one going for about $35k with 19k miles on it. I am planning on waiting and saving for another year and hoping the price would fall under $30k by next year. I hear plenty of problems concerning Cadillacs; what kind of problems can I expect with the STS-V specifically, and what are the approximate costs of maintaining those problems?
Answer:the STS-V was notorious for rear end troubles. The differentials were not strong enought o hande the torque from the V8s. They later changed the diff to eliminate that issue. So make sure that the differential is in good working order. May require getting a mechanical inspection, but you should do that any way.
I have a 97 cadillac sts. 150k miles, there is damage on the driver side door, some electrical problems, and the head gasket is blown!!! sounds bad, well i was offered $300 from the mechanic for it and i want to know if i should try and get more. any help????
Answer:I would take that offer.
There's a guy selling a 94 STS for 3 G-notes. It's got 126 thousand miles on it. It has no rusting. How much money will it cost to get a 15 year old car up to par. Will i have to change the breaks? Do Seville's generally need a lot of work done on them? I really love this car but will the age on the car effect its performance?
Answer:Offer them 2.5 G notes and get a mechanic to check it out.If you ever have trouble with the electronics. Get out the bank book. Caddys are good cars but like a lot of others are expensive to work on.
Im trying to buy a cadillac from a friend for 800 but he says it needs a thermostat replacement... Will it cost alot?
Answer:nah man it's easy just be sure to get a small tube of rtv sealant from the parts store when you buy the new thermostat & gasket... hopefully your not buying a lemmon and they are only telling you thats the problem ;) do your homework with Caddy's
Ive been looking all over and so has my friend. We found only 1 ugly body kit and no other kits anywhere. Can some one throw me some links or tell me where i can get a nice body kit, or even where i could get some custom fitted work done on another body kit. This car needs a body kit otherwise its gonna look like every other 1999-2001 sts caddy on the street, pls help make my car a beauty 8D.
