Latest Chrysler 300 Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Rear bumber of Chrysler 300 full of scratches and paint streaks?
I was in a dark underground parking garage and on accident I backed my black Chrysler 300 into a one of the white pillars. I didn't see any dents; however, it did leave sratches and streaks of white paint on my rear bumper. The problem area is around 8 to 10 inches around. Is it pretty expensive to get rid of it. Should I go to my Chrysler dealer or a bodyshop?
Answer:go to a good well known bodyshop asks some friends you know of a bodyshop. Don't go to a dealer they may do it right but they charge to much.

  • How much does it cost the manufacturer to build a Chrysler 300 M?
I am wondering what the actual cost is to build the Chrysler 300 M before it is shipped to a dealer. How much does it cost Chrysler?
Answer:1st - the 300M is no longer in production, it was superceded by the 300 and 300C. The 300M was a front wheel drive sports-luxury sedan which shared many components with the Dodge Intrepid, and Chrysler Concorde. When you ask cost to manufacturer, what costs do you want included: * parts costs * labor costs * engineering and product design * certification costs (EPA, NHTSA, etc) * manufacturing engineering costs * tooling costs * plant and corporate overhead * advertising * warranty fund * etc And in what volume? If you buy 10,000 of something, it is alot cheaper per unit than if you buy 1 or 10. For example, the products my company sells, to make one it costs about $3000-; to make 10000 per year, it costs under $50- each, plus about $75,000 in tooling. This does not include overhead, design, shipping, etc. We are a small company, with rather low volumes.

  • How much would it cost to paint a Chrysler 300?
I may be purchasing a Chrysler 300, and I was wondering about how much it would cost to get a professional paint job. It's white, and I was thinking maybe light blue? It's a 2002 model by the way. There is no rust or scratches, but there is a dent on the hood. It is near the front of the car and is approximatly fist-sized. I would like a custom color, but if it's cheaper to go with stock colors I will do that.
Answer:Uhm..well, it depends on the KIND of paint job you want. Nice, complete, professional paint job, including door jams, under the hood, inside the trunk, etc...anywhere from $2000 to $5000, depending on the color... Basic, blow-over paint job, omitting all the fine points...you could go from $500 up, depending on color choice. If you're looking to have the dent hidden, I would have body work done, and then just have them repaint that little spot. It'll save you a ton of time and money. Also, here's a word of advice, though: A repainted car is not going to resale nearly as quickly as a stock car. People tend to shy away from custom colors. That is, unless you plan on keeping the car forever.

  • How do I find out if a 2008 Chrysler 300 touring has all-wheel drive?
I am going to purchase a Chrysler 300 trouring and am wondering how you can tell if it has all wheel drive. Is it standard on the touring?
Answer:Look for the badge "AWD" on the rear of the car, Take the vin number to any chrysler dealer and ask for an option list it will have all the specs on the vehicle. If you have enough ground clearance look for axle shafts to the front wheels.

  • What is the rate of speed in a chrysler 300 that an airbag deploys at from the steering wheel?
What is the rate of speed in a chrysler 300 that an airbag deploys at from the steering wheel?
Answer:That all depends on what year and what system is being used. There is no speed rating, but rate of volume of gas or rate of burn of gas to inflate the bag. Old style was just insant inflate, now the new models inflate or burn in stages depending on weight in seat. So in short there is no speed rate. But to make it simple it will come out faster than you can move out of the way
