Without any previous problem I went to open the hood on my 2001 Chrysler Concorde and it would not release the hood. I could see the latch and manipulate it slightly, but the hood bar would not detach. The car has never been in an accident or affected in any way. What can I do?
Answer:SOMETIMES, you can have a friend press down on the hood to take pressure off the latch and then when you pull the release it will let go. if that doesn't do it you need to have a tool to trip the latch. Those are designed to keep thieves OUT of your engine bay so they can be very tricky. you might have to take it to the shop and get it open. Then you have to decide whether to replace the original release or attach a wire that you hide behind the grill. Don't laugh, it works!!
where can i find a downloadable owners manual online?
Answer:You won't find it downloadable online, at least not a legit copy. Call the local dealers, many times, they'll have some used ones that never got put back with their vehicles when the vehicle was sold. Check with both the sales department, and the parts department ... the parts department sometimes has some that a customer never came back and got after ordering it, so you might get a good price on it. If the first dealer you call doesn't have it, try another one if there's more than one local dealer. Otherwise, they'll have to order it for you, or you can look on ebay for one.
I'm looking for a good starter car (I'm 15 and this will be my first car) I need something dependable, with good mpg, and I've found a 2000 Chrysler Concorde I can afford. But I don't know much about Concorde's. So does anyone have any advice or have a Concorde and know a lot about them? It's got a 3.2 engine and needs some light and engine work. I can get it for $2500. Is it worth it?
Answer:It is a good,to GREAT car,with a few exceptions.Most lack of good maintenance.3.5 engine(generally) which is over al a pretty standard engine for,Chrysler,now and of reasonable reliability.Rack&pinion bushings are a weak point,and injectore seals that become brittle and leak.Okay.Keep marvel-mystery-oil in your engine and fuel system.(From,auto ZoneGo in and read the bottle.100% anti-freeze(recommended),not one drop of water in the cooling system!89 Oct.,and not 87 Octane.Okay?!
I am trying to find angel/projector headlights for my 2001 chrysler concorde and can't seem to find any on the internet. I did however see angel/projector headlights for the chrysler 300m and was wondering if they were compatible with my car. Answer:i found my projector eclipse headlights on ebay for 118 bucks. So ebay it shipped fast and i love them. I also bought the black taighlights it was like 220 for both...good deals
i have a 97 chrysler concorde n a 1200w song xplod sound system which includes 2 12"s and a 1200w amp. When i turn it on with the trunk open it sounds excellent, but when it is closed, you cant really hear or feel? What should I do
Answer:your problem is the sony subwoofers, first of all they are hardly 1200W.... each one is 350 watts rms each my suggestion would be to ditch the subs and most likely the amp as well, and get a better system. here is a sub and amp combo that could kill this set up 2 alpine type r subs 4ohm DVC = 250$ dollars from ebay shipped 1 SAZ-1000D amplifier from sundown audio = about 300$ - 400$ if you want good sound you gotta spend money simple as that
