Latest Eagle Vision Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Is the hood of the 1995 Chrysler Concorde interchangable with the 1995 Eagle Vision?

Answer:Best thing to do is call up your local auto wreckers they know what parts are interchangeable.

  • Is there any major problems with a 1996 Eagle Vision ESI?
I just found a used one and want to buy it but first want to know if there is any recalls or major defects in these cars. If not then Give it a rating 1is bad 10 is excellent. Thanks for the help.
Answer:I wouldn't buy it. In 1994 I bought a new 1994 Dodge Intrepid. It was the second model year for a new line of Chrysler cars. They made three versions, the Chrysler Concorde, the Dodge Intrepid, and the Eagle Vision. They were all basically the same car with slight cosmetic design differences and different names. The engine and all the mechanical systems were the same. When I bought the Intrepid, all the car reviews said it was a great car, and it seemed to be very good at first. But since it was a relatively new car, no one knew much about what its reliability would be over the years. Well it only lasted 7 years and 90,000 miles before I gave up on it in 2001. I spent so much money on various repairs over the years. The air conditioning system on those cars were notoriously terrible. Four times the air conditioning failed with major parts needing replacement at a cost of at least $600 per event. Finally I wrote an angry letter to Chrysler and they ended up paying me back for one of the repairs. The final straw was when the transmission failed and needed at least a $2000 replacement after only 7 years and 90,000 miles. And I drove my car very conservatively, always took it in for the regular maintenance intervals, changed the transmission fluid regularly, etc. At the time it needed the transmission replaced, the air conditioning had failed again, and it had several other problems that I had given up on getting fixed. I tried to sell it, but no one wanted it once they heard of the problems it had. I ended up donating it to charity and getting a $3000 tax write off for a car I spent $23,000 on new 7 years before. I know the 1994 Dodge Intrepid isn't exactly the same as the 1996 Eagle Vision, but they are similar enough that I wouldn't trust it. After my experience I'll never buy another Chrysler made car (Chrysler, Dodge, Eagle, or Jeep).

  • My '96 Eagle Vision is trying to start, but it just won't come on. Does it have a carburetor?
It's cold outside, very cold and I really haven't had a problem starting my car before. Someone said it could be the fuel filter clogged and mentioned something about starter fluid.
Answer:i mechanic for a living,,and it may need a new set of plugs in it,,they will cause it not to start when it gets really cold out,,and starting fluid will help it to start ,,but its hard to put it in and run back and try to start it,,it evaporates really fast,,you might want to take it,and have it checked out real good once you do get it running,,good luck hope this help,s.

  • problem with the cam sensor in eagle vision esi?
i have a problem with a 1994 eagle vision, not sure what the stalling problem is but i think it is a camshaft sensor can any one help me here,,, !!
Answer:If its a hot stall problem, dies when hot, with no restart, but cranks ok and then starts after a few minutes of letting it sit awhile, Then the most likely cause is the CKP sensor (crankshaft position sensor) and not the CMP (camshaft position sensor). The CKP is located on the side of the transmission bell housing on the passenger side of the vehicle

  • What is the difference between the parts of 1994 Eagle Vision and Chrysler Vision (Europe) of same year?

Answer:As far as I know, it just had different nameplates and badges. Since they didn't sell Eagle branded vehicles in Europe, they simply re-badged it and sold it as a Chrysler Vision. They did this with vehicles in Canada, also, with Dodge models being sold as Chryslers there (such as Intrepid and Dynasty) up until around 2003 or 2004 when they changed it to selling US Dodge models as Dodge models in Canada also.
