Taurus does not have any known problems so far since it is still fairly new. It has enough room for a family of 5. That is a large sedan. Other good choices are Honda Accord, Mazda 6, Nissan Altima, Mitsubishi Galant, Ford Fusion(really a 03-08 Mazda 6), Chevy Malibu, VW Passat, VW Jetta, or Hyundai Sonata.

It's amazing how many people don't know they have to put the right fluids in their car. They only thing they know how to do is fill it with gas. They know nothing about how often other fluids need to be checked or replaced, like oil, brake fluid, transmission fluid, etc. Check your fluid levels often! The manual will tell you where the dipsticks and fluid reservoirs are, and it will give a schedule for how often those fluids need to be replaced. By the way, has the transmission fluid ever been replaced in your car??? Some people drive for 75 thousand miles without ever changing their transmission fluid, and then they wonder why the transmission develops problems? For most vehicles, the recommend interval is every 30,000 miles. If you've got 60,000 miles on your car, the transmission fluid should have been changed twice by now. If you check the the fluid level and it is good, then you need to ask an expert at a garage. Don't go to the dealer, they will just rip you off. Look in the phone book for a local guy who specializes in Ford.
