I own a 97 ford thunderbird ,my father the mechanic said that I shouldn't sell it. The reason is it has less than 80k miles and is the last year that model was made. I'm told it will be worth something.
Answer: Any car that is kept long enough is destined to become a classic. Look at Edsel.
So im looking to buy my first car and i found this 84 ford thunderbird in my price range thats in good condition, and i asked the seller what the gas mileage is and he said 26mpg city and 36mpg hwy. is that possible, and if not would it still be worth buying?
Answer:I very seriously doubt it, I've owned both Turbocoupes and SVO'S and none of them ever got over 27 mpg on the highway, but if you were hypermileing and coasting a lot, it's possible, but in normal driving.. still a good car, but make sure the turbo isn't leaking or worn out..
I have a 1988 Ford Thunderbird and she is lovely. But the power seat on the diver's side doesn't work. I don't care if the power seat works, but I can't currently reach the pedals. Is there a way to simply move the seat so it fits me without having to fix the power seat? All the fuses are fine. I just need to move the seat.
Answer: I agree with the fuse deal..if that is indeed a 20 amp.. Also, check under the seat closely, CLOSELY, for the power connection. It may have become separated from agressive cleaning or some other form of disconnect ( ie,, stuffing something under it ) You may also try bypassing the switch and have someone with some technical experience bypass everthing right to the power seat itself. At least you will be able to touch your pedals. That is a bit of prioirity here.. Good Luck to you...
The battery on my 2003 Ford Thunderbird is dead. I'd like to use jumper cables, but I can't find the battery. I suspect it may be in the trunk (along with the manual), but I can't get the trunk open due to the dead battery. Any ideas?
Answer:The 2003 T-bird has the battery located in the passenger side of the trunk. To open the trunk with a dead battery, open the drivers door, flip the seat forward and you should find the trunk lock cylinder, it is hooked to the luggage lid latch via cable.
