I have a 91 honda accord sometimes the light for the sport mode will blink on and off and the car wont start.? I have a 91 honda accord sometimes the light for the sport mode will blink on and off and the car wont start? Anyone know anything about this?
Answer:I had a 90 accord with that sport button. When it blinks, I believe it's an issue with the transmission, though, I dont know why that would cause a no-start condition. I recommend you ask this question on www.honda-tech.com, or just search on that site.
I hae an 89 Honda Accord LXI. The front speakers are blown and sound HORRIBLE. I want to know if anybody knows how to replace them. Do I need to remove the whole door panel? If so, how do I go about it? Thanks for any help I can get!
Answer:NO you do not have to take off door panels. There is 2-4 screws around the speaker, that will take off the cover. Then 2-4 that will remove the speaker itself. Waaalah!
A lot of my friends have told me that you can get a lot of miles out of a Honda Accord without doing much major maintenance along the way, other than oil changes. What are your takes on this. Right now I have 45k miles, but I plan on holding onto the car for atleast 4-5 more years.
Answer:I would take it in at least once a year for a all in all tune up this should keep her ticking like clock work. I have a 03 honda accord ex and it just rolled over 94,000 miles and she is still puurrrring I haven't had any problems with this car since I bought it back in 07. Best of luck to ya.. =)
Some say you should get your car to the dealer for intermediate/major service, as against some say you should not go to the dealer because they charge way more and you can have same service at any autobody shop. My car Honda Accord has about 120K miles and have always been going to a dealer for service. The intermidiate service is due and I wonder should I go to dealer or try somo other auto body shops? Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks a bunch in advance!
Answer:The answer above me is true. Other shops work with all ranges of cars, american, german, and everything else. I'm not sure what you mean intermediate service, but if it includes bigger jobs such as timing belt jobs and other jobs then definitely Honda dealer. They know your car inside and out, literally. But for small jobs such as oil, fuel filter and simple jobs smaller shops will do the trick; but always keep in mind they may not be 100% knoweledable with your car.
I have a 1998 Honda Accord with a rear window defroster that still works but the window is hard to see through. Over the years the defroster "sheet" has become opaque is there way to remove this and install another one? Or would it be cheaper just to replace the back glass?
Answer:The traces are on the inside of the glass. You get them off just like you would get a big label off. With a scraper. Then you can install an new defroster using the old wires. It's just like putting a big decal on the inside of the window.
