Latest Hyundai Genesis Frequently Asked Questions:

  • What's the difference between the Hyundai Genesis Coupe and the Tiburon?
    which is better?
Answer:The only common thing is that both body style have been designed by Ferrari. Otherwise nothing else will bi similar. tiburon had 2.o L DOHC or 2.7L engine V6 front wheel drive. Genesis comes with 2.0L turbo engine or 3.8L V6 engine with rear wheel drive. Body style and futures are totally different with more bells and whistle in the Genesis. Keep in mind, Genesis won best car of the 09 models. They beat up big names like toyota, honda and cadillac. Genesis more expensive but overhaul, is cheap when you look at what you get for your money. No regrets buying a Genesis

  • Im crazy over the new 2009 Hyundai Genesis that recently came out. I am considering purchasing it or financing?
it. The current price tag fully loaded is about $38,000 and with todays bad economy and the car dealerships taking such a hit, i was wondering realisticly how much i can walk with this car if i went into a Hyundai dealership in my area?
Answer:Actually the MSRP on the fully loaded V8 Genesis is $41,250, so if you could get the car for $35,500 that would definitely be a great deal since it is listed as a 2009 and there was no 2008 model. Now, maybe you were considering the V6 to save a couple grand, but I think you should test drive it versus the V8, considering fuel economy is nearly identical and the V8 has some features(ultra premium leather, wood grain wheel, illuminated door sills, chrome moldings) not on the V6, I'd definitely get the best model they had. There are no special offers on the Genesis, so good luck with the dealer, you might want to email their sales department to get the best price. http://www.hyundaiusa.com/

  • With a hyundai genesis coupe, is there a limit to how much a better engine you could put in there? Aftermarket?
I know cars, but I don't know how aftermarket engines and such work. Can you just put any engine in any car, have to be same size? Price?
Answer:Why? First off this car comes in two models. A turbocharged 4 (around 220) and a v6 (300+). The whole purpose of having a stock turbocharged car is to be able to add a bigger turbo (and limited supporting modifications) to make it faster. It doesn't need a new engine, the block should be good to at least 350 with the current cranktrain, valvetrain, and without having to upgrade drivetrain parts. But to answer your question. No. You can't just put any engine in a modern car because the work it takes to make it street legal and interface with the drivetrain components (ie axles) costs too much and you have to completely replace most of the sensors and supporting components (radiator, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, exhaust (if it's a different diameter)); it's a pretty stupid thing to do on a car when you can just add an upgraded turbo and dial the boost to 18psi and be in porsche 911 territory (give or take).

  • How useless are the new hyundai genesis coupe's rear seat?
Looking to buy one after owning a Jeep.
Answer:If you have kids, back seats are good. If you want to put adults, they might hit the roof liner. Not very comfy. With Genesis Coupe you are not gonna "zoom, zoom". You will be "vroom, vroom". Translation??? You will enjoy it more than a Mazda Maybe someone will "enlighten " you enough to see how dumb you are to believe I'm trying to sell cars. Is not what I do for living and I'm not saying Hyundai is a perfect car. Why is Toyota and Honda looking more over the shoulder to see what Hyundai does? Look at some articles regarding car quality, about repairs per 100 cars and we will talk about after. I do also give technical information to ensure Hyundai owners have a better advise, rather than BS from morons like you and make sure they stay away from "advisers" like you. Rather than talking trash, you might want to concentrate and answer people questions. I can see you're not following my answers. Smarten-up and u might be really "enlightened". No wonder you've got only 6% best answer. This tells me a lot and hope will do to others.
