Latest Infiniti M Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Airbag light is on in my 2003 Infiniti G35 and I'm told by the dealer it will take $2K to fix. Is that right?
The dealer says that they need to replace the entire airbag assembly, which is why it will be so expensive. This seems like a drastic solution to me since it could just be a single bad electrical connection somewhere. What other options might have to fix this?
Answer:It's out of warranty so take to your own mechanic to diagnose and repair.

  • I'm thinking of purchasing the Infiniti G35 Sedan, but am having trouble deciding between the auto or manual!
I'm thinking of purchasing the 2007 Infiniti G35 Sedan, but am having trouble deciding between the 5-speed automatic with paddle-shifting or the 6-speed manual! Which would you choose and why? Also, does either have an effect on resale value? Thank you!
Answer:I was working for an Infiniti store until last year and here's my advice. About 95% of the sedans are auto. The reason is that most people that can afford these vehicles live in major metro areas and a manual is a pain in stop-n-go traffic. Most buyers won't even look at a manual transmission, regardless of price. Also, the buyers are generally over 40 and have been through the manual transmission phase in their lives. The flip side is that resale doesn't suffer much. There are so few out there that often people conduct a search over several states to find one. The last one I sold was to a gentleman about 4 hours away from our location. If you live in an area where you can enjoy some twisty two-lane roads, I would consider it because it is a ball with the manual. Also, you may be able to find a leftover '07 model at a good price as the dealer will be wanting to dump it. Good Luck

  • I'm days away from purchasing a 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe, and don't know which way to go with Navigation.
Does anyone know about the aftermarket Navigation system available from DigitalWheelz.com? I really don't like the stock Navigation on the G35 but wouldn't want to pass on it to find out later that the Digital Wheelz system is junk! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Answer:Be smart and go with the factory navigation system. I know you may not be a big fan of it, but look at it this way. It will integrate perfectly and seamlessly with your car. Any problems, it will be covered under the vehicle's warranty. If you go with an aftermarket navigation system, it will not integrate as nice, you will have to pay additional money to have it installed, and if anything goes wrong with it, you're stuck with it.

  • Any suggestions on leasing? I'm interested in leasing an Infiniti G35 Sedan or M45.?
I'm interested in leasing an Infiniti G35 Sedan or M45. What are the requirements and how much do they lease for?
Answer:The M45 competes at a totally different price point (there is about a $10,000 difference) than the G35. I would take the M45 over the G35 any day, but to be realistic, either one would be fine with me.
