Would you consider the Kia Amanti sporty/Luxery like a Charger OR just luxery like a Lincoln Town Car?
Answer:It's closer to Town Car/Crown Vic than a Charger. There is nothing sporty about a Kia Amanti.
I was thinking about buying a Kia Amanti but I want to make sure that its a good deal.....so is it?
Answer:i would not buy a korean car of any brand(hundai, kia), they will break down and who cares about the warranty if you have to bring it back
is it a good reliable and durable car?? how much mileage will it get? around 150,000 maybe? i mean the 2003 or 2004 model
Answer:The name kia means poor quility in most car repair shops.Not eazy to fix and part prices out of sight.Most owners wish they had a better car.
alright i managed to make the dumbest decision of my life and buy a car and get upside down by trading it in for another car after dropping 2500$ into fixing a head gasket..i got pissed and traded it in when it had another 500$ problem a week later...thats wouldnt have been so bad had i kept that turboed gas saving car..but the part that really blows gaskets...is that i hate the car i traded it in for....its a gas pig V6 and looks like something my grandfather would drive Heres the link for the pic on wikimedia http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a3/Kia_Amanti_2005.jpg Anyway i was thinking of painting it a solid color so the retarded silver trim is the same color as the car grill and all...i was going to do all black and tint the windows and get Lamin-x film covers for the lights...but not so sure about that..also there are some door dings and scratches i needed to fix anyway from the previous owner so i figured it would be cheaper to just to paint it all..its 250$ per panel for dings...and there are dings onlike 4 panels..go figure.. Basically i am upside down to the point that sure i could pay it down and sell it..but i am going to lose a lot more money by startin over new payments on another car...basically i am going to lose 10 grand plus what i lost on my other car..yeah..i kno stupid....how the heck did a finance freak like me manage to get upside down. Anyway..does anyone else know of anyone deckin out an amanti or have pics of one so i can see what it looks like..i actually think it could look pretty cool and kinda uncommon....so opinions would really kick ass right now..i am really down about the loss and yes i know that i am just adding another expense..but seriously if i am gonna be stuck with this car for years...i might as well love it, right..tho theres not much i can do about the 11mpg in town mileage and the enormous gas tank thats always starving... Answer:Holy Crap! Do you live at the top of a mountain? That is horrible mileage! I would investigate that first. I've had V8's with better mileage. As far as pimpin your ride...That's a lot more cash you'll be dumping into a P.O.S. that you hate. Personally, in this economy, shove that pimpin money into your debt. You will thank me for it later. The image of your car won't get you from point A to point B any better.
we have a 2005 kia amanti and we changed the oil a couple weeks ago. Today we went to walmart and notice the engine was smoking so we parked it and check the oil and it was completely drained of oil. We put 2 quarts of oil in just to see if it would leak and after we started the car and turned it off the oil was on the ground completely drained again. We bought a oil filter and 5 quarts of oil and changed it and once we started the car it started to spray oil like it was puking. My hubby said it looked like it was coming from the oil pan. Any Ideas of to what it is? We know its not the oil pump or other wise it wouldnt have been spraying oil so we are stumped for an answer. We really dont want to go to a mechanic unless we absolutely have to. Sorry this is so long but thanks :) everything is tightened on it
Answer:Maybe when the engine starting smoking without any oil, it might have burned the oil pan gasket seal. A easy way to inspect if the oil pan is leaking is to let the engine cool down, clean the area around the oil pan and spray some white shaving cream around the oil pan seal area and start engine. If it is leaking/spraying from that area it should be very easy to spot with the white shaving cream. Another useful household product you can use to spot oil leaks is baby powder.
