I am thinking about getting a 2007 Lexus IS 250....and I want to know what you think about this car...it would help if you own one Thanx!!
Answer:Well, I own an IS 350, but they're pretty much the same. Anyway, I love it. It's a great car for the money. Get it, you will not regret it.
I saw a Lexus today that said it was a coach edition and it made me wonder, What is the difference? So i was wondering if anybody could tell me What the difference between a Lexus Coach edition, and a regular Lexus?
Answer:For 1997, a limited "Coach Edition" LS 400 was produced in partnership with American leather manufacturer Coach Inc.. The edition featured Coach leather seats, embroidered emblems on the exterior, floormats, and armrest, special colors and added trim, and a Coach cabin bag; production was limited to a yearly run of 2,500 units. In 1996, Lexus offered an ES 300 "Coach Edition," featuring select Coach leather trim in the interior and a set of Coach luggage. Above excerpts from links below.
I called the Lexus dealership and they said that i needed to have one installed when it came from the factory, otherwise there is no way for them to install one because they are not permitted to. I was wondering if anyone knows a way to install it, a company somewhere? Thanks!
Answer:If a Lexus dealer told you "no", you think you're going to get a better answer on Yahoo? No, you cannot get a factory nav system installed after the fact. What you can do - you can get an aftermarket system installed, which will probably also replace your factory stereo. Any electronics installer can do this. Examples here: http://www.crutchfield.com/g_182350/In-dash-GPS-Navigation.html?tp=20212 Or - you can just buy a portable, suction cup it to the windshield, plug it into the cigarrette lighter and call it good.
My parents just bought a new Lexus but live 150 miles away from the nearest Lexus dealership. It's kind of far to drive to get something done if anything happend.I heard that Toyota will service Lexus for minor stuff. Is this right?
Answer:Depends on the region and proximity of each. There are cases where a Lexus and Toyota dealer are within 20 miles of each other let's say... then the Toyota dealer is NOT authorized to repair your Lexus. In your parents case, I would imagine the Toyota dealer will work on the Lexus. Same parent company and cars for crying out loud...
I need to keep a minifridge running for short periods when the car is not running but Lexus turns power off when key is off. Can that be defeated so at least one lighter stays live?
Answer:It would have to be rewired. Currently the feed wire to the cigarette lighter is wired into the accessory-switched circuit; you would need to remove that wire from the back of the lighter and run a new wire to an unswitched power source, like the battery. (Make sure you put a fuse on your wire if you connect it to the battery).
