Car Reviews: Lincoln MKZ Reviews
The Lincoln MKZ initially named the Lincoln Zephyr is a mid-size entry-level luxury car from the Lincoln division of the Ford Motor Company Lincoln revived the Zephyr name in the fall of 2005 as a platform-mate for the Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan the vehicles were based on the CD3 platform which was derived from the Mazda 6 The Zephyr's sole powertrain was a 3 0 160 L DOHC Duratec V6 mated to an Aisin 6-speed automatic transmission identical to the V6 powertrain that was optional in the Fusion and Milan Visually the Zephyr could be easily distinguished from its Ford and Mercury siblings thanks to unique fascias and other stylistic elements but as much as 35 of its body panels were shared with the other cars However the interior is entirely unique to the Lincoln and this along with different equipment packaging helped differentiate the brands Reflecting its entry-level luxury position the 2006 Zephyr started at a base MSRP of 29 995 USD ranging up to 35 575 USD…Read More about Lincoln MKZ at WikiPedia

Anyone with a Lincoln MKZ...I love the old Lincoln LS but since they don't make them anymore I think the MKZ might be the closest thing. Do you like yours?...details...thanks
Answer:I'm in the same boat as you drove a 2000 LS for years and bought and MkZ may of '07... outright.. not the same car at all.. drive and feel totally different from each other but neither is inferior. I had the LS with the v8 and it was way peppier off the start, the mkZ althought not lacking in power is much smoother and more refined, but seems to have better high end acceleration. I loved my LS but the MkZ has more style, alot more flare better touches, the LS was a bit more generic in my opinion. The car is very modern, I'm 25 and I think it totally fits me and continues to garner good comments from my peers. The style is getting younger in apperance. The MkZ gets alot of looks, climate control is way improved just in ease of use, nav is fun and easy, stereo blows the LS's out of the water! Back seats are roomier.. oh and the trunk!! LS was shallow, MkZ is deep both in heigth and in depth.. the best word is cavernous and they designed the hinges better so they dont' take up trunk space like they did in the LS The MkZ has NO problems, car is dream to own so far... started to have a bit of trouble with teh LS toward the end but typical of luxury. There is only two things I find flawed on the MkZ 1.) tilt/telescope wheel is not power, it was I the LS and I liked that alot more! 2.) Trunk is hard to close without getting finger prints on it, needs a better handle or auto close feature. Other than that would 5 star recommend! They are relesing the 2009 MkS this summer which is supposed to be the 'replacement' for the larger v8 powered LS, where as the MkZ is supposed to replace the v6 powered LS. Regardless the MkS looks to be a beautiful car even more refined, bit less modern, but way more elegant and classic than the MkZ... its going to cost more by about 10g's but is worth the few months wait to test them both together.
Its the song on the Lincoln MKZ commercial. Its a remake and very outer-space sounding. All I could make out was The countdown starts: 4,3,2,1 Earth below us, Drifting falling. Help?
Answer:Shiny Toy Guns' cover of "Major Tom (Coming Home)".
The ad on the front page of yahoo right now uses an interesting song. The ad is for the new Lincoln MKZ 2010 I'd say it sounded like trance but I'm not sure. Can anyone tell me? Thanks. Please don't say, Major Tom. For I'm almost positive that isn't the song. I know all about that song and the new version by Shiny Gun whatever... Actually I think it is. HAHA.
Answer:I'm going to go against your "please don't say" line, because you are mistaken. That is Major Tom (Coming Home) by Shiny Toy Guns. See the youtube link below for the full song, which includes the exact vocals you hear in that ad. also, a second link to Shiny Toy Guns web site in case you thought the youtube poster was wrong about the title/artist. EDIT - jumbobret is all wrong. The link he posted is NOT Major Tom, it is Space Oddity. Lincoln has used a remake of that song too in other commercials (the remake is by Cat Power), but the MKZ ad is Major Tom, originally recorded by Peter Schilling, redone by Shiny Toy Guns. It's sort of a tribute or rip off (you decide) of Space Oddity, but it's a different song. David Bowie never recorded a song called Major Tom http://www.lyricsbay.com/major_tom_coming_home_lyrics-schilling_peter.html
I was watching the Laker game tonight (4-27-09) and Lincoln has a new commercial for their MKZ. I know its a remake of an 80's song but can someone tell me what song?
Answer:I think you are talking about Major Tom - Shiny Toy Guns (remake of Peter Schilling song). I put the link here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VW0_kTYvARc
