I just noticed today that my Malfunction Indicator light of my 1998 Mazda 626 LX is on while I drive the car.I checked that the cap of the gas tank was not tightly closed.I tightened it, but the indicator light is still on.What could be the reason for it? How to fix it? Is it safe to use the car now?
Answer:the mil light or check engoine light shoots a trouble code to ur cars ecu,gas cap on can also spring a check engine light.if u din have a scanner to clear the code,your car would automatically clear it within 2 drive cycles.right now,the light will say on because the code is pending,if thats the only problem,light should go off after drive cycles,take it to autzone or pepboys and they can read and clear the mil light for you...hope this helps//
I have a 1995 mazda 626. The hand on the temp gauge is going a little past the midpoint but it's not running hot. It will go back down before it runs hot. My uncle said that I might need to get a lower temperature themostat or a coolant temperature sensor. What does that sound like?
Answer:Nothing really to worry about. The car has an electric fan which doesn't operate all the time. While driving on the highway it won't come on at all due to the airflow through the radiator at higher speeds. Around town the temperatre will get to a determined level and the the electric fan will cut in and allow extra air-flow through the radiator allowing it to cool down while driving in trafic and around town
I have a 2002 mazda 626 and when i put it in reverse it makes a clattering sound, also when i take off at a fast speed is makes a different almost popping sound. i just changed the cv joints yesterday so i know it may not be that. what could it be? thanks guys for your answers, is wasn't as bad as i thought it was. the problem is, is that i need new barrens. so if you have this sound going on in your car, this may be your problem. hope this is helpful.

Answer:Dealer would be expensive but would save you a lot of headache because it would be the correct one for sure. You can try Ebay, but there may be more than one version available and you may end up buying the wrong one. I would try to dealer first and see how much it costs. Also, if you buy it from the dealer, they will likely program it for you at the same time at no cost.
I have a 2001 Mazda 626 and the fuel pump went out. I was wondering where the fuel pump is located in this model.
