  • I have a 2001 Mercedes Benz clk 430 with integrated phone?
I recently purchased a Motorola v60i gsm phone. I have tested the phone on my network and it works, but my car will not recognize the phone. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to be able to use this feature in my car?
Answer:First, make sure that your CLK has all the necessary phone components. Most people assume that when they are told that their car is "prewired" for a phone, that all they have to do is get a handset and they are fine. NOT TRUE. All "prewired" means is that it is ready to have the phone installed. You still need to have the phone system components installed. In 2001, the phone for the Mercedes was a Motorola Timeport. You can retrofit your car to accept a v60, but you'll need to determine which PSE (phone system brain) is in the car. Since it sounds like your car does not recognize your v60, you must have the Timeport-only PSE in your car. Go to the dealer and get a dual Timeport/v60 PSE and have it installed. Then have them version code your vehicle and test your handset. They'll tell you if you need anything else.

  • How do I program my phone to my car's bluetooth? (I have a mercedes Benz clk 320)?
It is a 2004 and it just keeps saying searching but does not ever find my car bluetooth so I can enter the code. My car has the bluetooth already installed.
Answer:What year is your CLK? Do you have the phone kit installed in the vehicle or are you just going by the "phone" button on the radio and assuming all the phone components (they were dealer installed options, not standard equipment) are already in the vehicle? EDIT: What phone are using? Although Bluetooth is supposed to be a universal standard, it is unfortunately not. Some phones work better with Benz Bluetooth pucks than others. Motorola usually works very well. Nokia isn't bad either. I have a Samsung and I've tried mine on a couple of different Mercedes vehicles but didn't have any luck.

  • Problem with Mercedes Benz CLK 430 convertible top going down?
Is there a place to add hydraulic fluid to system? Where?
    Answer:

  • How to set the telephone connection in a Mercedes Benz CLK 500 2004?

Answer:Does the vehicle have a Benz phone kit installed? I'm not referring to the "phone" button on the radio, that is standard on all 2004 models. The phone kit was a dealer installed option back in '04 and to update the kit to accept any Blutooth phone, a Blutooth puck has to be installed in place of the handset that came with the phone kit. If you do not have this, this will have to be installed first. Keep in mind that it is expensive ( + $2K )
