Answer:I'm guessing you're not really in the U.S. (as it states on the bottom of the page) as you're referring to the sedan as a "saloon". That's a very British term. But, insurance rates differ for different people based on age, licence history, amount of driving, where you live, which S-Class specifically (a '95 S320 will cost less to insure compared to an '09 S65 AMG), etc., etc., etc. In other words, this is not a question anyone can answer for you over the net.
I saw it on Top Gear on Dave a minute ago, and I'm wondering if it is or not. I would think it wouldn't be illegal because the company put it in there, making it legal probably. Is it or not? Also Mercedes put it there for seeing in the dark (UV Camera), so that's legal aswell.

how much would it coast to get suicide doors installed for a mercedes from a professional just for the back doors?and would i need to go to a mercedes dealer?
Answer:you would have to get the whole back doors redesigned and rechange the structural frame. it would not be practical. depending on your make and model of your car i know i have an older s class and the contour of the back doors would make it impossible to just swap out the doors. just keep it as it is and realize you have a nice car
Answer:MOST is for the 05,06 and 07 vehicles. the 1999 to 2004 mercedes are fiber-optic systems there is 1 interface available for that system but the cd changer needs to be unplug this will fit audio from the ipod to the mercedes fiber-optic system and will also charge the ipod I forgot the name of the interface but call or e-mail oemautosound.com
