I am intirested in getting a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis. Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about them? to the person who said they were mostly for young drivers and young drivers dont like them, thats not true about everyone. I am 15 getting ready to get a car and thats the ind of car I have wanted for a long time. A town car or grand marquis!!
Answer:The Mercury Grand Marquis is built in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada on the same platform, with the same engine as the Ford Crown Victoria and more importantly the Lincoln Town Car. The components of these cars stand up to police and livery use - most American and Canadian police cars are Crown Victorias and most airport limousines are Lincoln Town Cars. So, they're built like tanks and are about the same size. The only drawback to them is the rising price of fuel.

Which vehicle has better horsepower and performance ratings? A 1975 Chevrolet, Nova? Or a 1984 Mercury, Grand Marquis? The Nova has a 308 with probably 6 cylinders and the Grand Marquis has a 351, with 8 cylinders.
Answer:if it was a 6 cylinder it would be a 250.305/307 are v8 engines.the 351 would be better more horsepower.the 308 engine that chevy made was only from 1966 to 1969 and had 325 horsepower but i don't think your nova has that engine in it.they also made a chevy 302 but they are very had to find.i would take the mercury.but then again i like fords.
i also have a 2000 mercury grand marquis that also squeaks, could any one help me ok here is some more info. on the 1993 everytime i hit a bump or pot hole , the car squeaks also if i push up and down on the car it also squeaks. the 2000 car same problem only less noise. but when i turn the wheel left when braking and turn it squeels.
Answer:Squeaks how? When was the last time you lubricated the chassis... steering, suspension etc? I'd guess you have a ball joint wearing, and lack of grease causing it to "squeak". - Good Luck!
