I'm looking for the key-less entry code for a 206 Mercury Montego. Every place on the net i've looked says it's on the Computer Module. But I don't know where that is either. Please help.

I am looking to purchase either the 2005 Ford Five Hundred or 2005 Mercury Montego...do you have any comments or complaints about either one of the cars? This would be my "first" car, is this a good reliable car to have? One of the main reasons why I am interested in these cars is because of the high safety ratings and also all of the interior space that they have to offer. What do you think?
Answer:I have the '06 500 & just passed 36K miles. No problem other than manufacturer recall to replace disc pads. Typically 21-23 mpg depending on mix of highway vs city driving. Comfortable for trip. Big point for me was trunk is like a cave. Luggage for 3 + 2 sets of golf clubs with room to spare. Has image of being a "granny" car so its not the typical first car.
The montego i just bought is missing the fuses for the brake and head lights. does anyone know what kind of fuses it needs. Or at least where i can read the manual for free online?
Answer:Most likely 20A... but I wonder why the fuses are missing, this tells me something is wrong with the car. Good luck on this one.
I was thinking of waiting for the 2008 model but when I researched the Ford/Mercury web site - they will be re-launching Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable - they look like the 500/montego. What is the deal? Will 500/montego be morphed into Taurus/Sable?
Answer:It was in the news, Ford realized that you don't mess with a good thing. The Taurus name was what sold cars, and they are changing the 500 back to Taurus.
