Hi all.. I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant that's showing the yellow engine light on the dash.. It also seems to have a "flat spot" sometimes when i accelerate... Other than that it's fine.. Car was serviced at the start of the year and i've changed the spark plugs. I also put some fuel line cleaner in the tank thinking it would clean the fuel lines as i thought that would stop the flat spot, but it just seems to be getting worse.. Help!!!
Answer:Your car may or may not be EOBD compliant. You can try disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds. This will clear the code if non OEBD. Otherwise you will need to get the code read. If this puts the light out then you need to take it for a drive to see if the light comes back on. Sometimes a code can be picked up due to a bad connection or just damp but I suspect you have a problem. Good luck. Warning disconnecting battery could result in radio code loss!
I am considering purchasing the 6 cyl galant, how is this car....? i will be trading in a 2003 cadillac CTS but I like the galant because of the great warranty it comes with.
Answer:If i were you I wouldn't trade a 03 cadillac cts for a galant. I have heard of a couple of ppl with galants that are definetly not satisfied.

Answer:just climb under it and take out the bolts that hold it on then adjust the new one to fit

Answer:Go to a part department of any Mitsubishi dealer with your VIN,they can look up in their computer to give you the code which you will need to enter on the stereo keypad.
