The lights inside my oldsmobile won't turn off when I start the car and put it in drive. When I park it, turn it off, and close the doors, the dome light, and the lights under the rearview mirror all stay on. Does somebody know a way to make them turn off or a website I can go to to find out. Thanks.
Answer:There is a little dial next to your headlight switch. turn it down a tad.
The lights inside my oldsmobile won't turn off when I start the car and put it in drive. When I park it, turn it off, and close the doors, the dome light, and the lights under the rearview mirror all stay on. Sometimes when I hit bumps, the lights will blink but then turn back on. I have tried to turned them off on the dial next to the steering wheel, but this hasen't worked. Does somebody know a way to make them turn off or a website I can go to to find out. Thanks.
Answer:The pin switch in one of your doors is bad. They are normally near the hinge and sometimes can get bent over or wear a hole in the door and not work properly. Also the switch itself can be bad. Just check them out one door at a time till you find the bad one. Usually the drivers side front door because it gets used the most. Hope I have been helpful.
I have a 1993 Olds Cutlass Ciera, in pretty good shape. I was wondering if anyone knew what it would cost to replace the AC unit (its not working) and from what I understand, it needs to be replaced. If you turn on the air, switch over the cold... it shoots out luke-warm air, and the guy who told me it needs to be replaced is family so I take his word for it, but he quoted me on $700... that I am no to sure about. Thanks all.
Answer:That seems about right. Normally, if the air conditioner isn't creating cold air, it's because the refrigerant is missing which is an inexpensive fix - you can buy it at an auto parts store and do it yourself is you're at all handy. Most likely though, the problem is the condenser/evaporator and this is more expensive to fix because you need the parts and the labor to put them in.
I hit a deer. I haven't been to the shop yet, I don't know if I am going to need a new front cap although it looks to me like it can be salvaged. Someone told me the headligts are very expensive. I hope not. And no, my insurance won't cover it.
Answer:35 dollars each side or 70 dollars for the pair
