I was driving her car the other day, and suddenly it wouldn't accelerate any more. I had to slow down, and whatever speed I slowed down to, that is where it stayed. Not to mention I also smelled a burning smell. We then noticed there was a leak (all the transmission fluid we put in less than a week ago had leaked out) A guy came out with us the next day, and said the line or something like that came loose, and fixed it back. He told us not to drive it over 40 until we got it back home. But before we even made it home, it had real trouble going up a hill, and when we got into our complex, luckily a couple of people we knew came in right behind us, and had to push us up a hill so we could also go down the other hill. Does it seem that a leak is still there, or is that just the transmission going out? I had a transmission problem in my car about 4 years ago, and I definitely don't remember it doing all of that.
Answer:if you drove it too long with the fluid low you may have caused alot of damage
in my car, a 95 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme SL 2 door coupe, the passenger side window will go down and won't close unless you sit in the car for 30 minutes and constantly press the up on the window switch. This occurs for both window switches, the switch for the passenger window on the driver side and the passenger side's window switch as well. Is this a contact issue or a window motor issue?
Answer:since you said it does it with BOTH switches, sounds most likely to be the window motor in the passenger door. (the brushes in the motors eventualy wear out). Shouldnt be too hard to fix yourself, just time consuming.

Answer:they vary in price depending on the model. sure you only have snow tires on for 4 months, but if you compare winter tires to all season tires, you'll notice a huge difference in the snow. all season tires start to loose their flexibility under 7 degrees celcius, not sure how much in farenheight that is, but that's near the freezing point of water. and you want tires to be flexible, esspecialy in the winter. and all season tires most of the time don't have the same treads as winter tires. winter tires are designed to bite into the snow and ice and to channel the water away from your tires. basically all season tires lick the road, but winter tires BITE onto the road.
