  • Does anybody know someone who buys cars with a lot of miles on them and fixes them up? person or dealership?
car has 210,590 + miles on it and I wanna see if there is any better option other than getting 300 bucks from a towing company. The parts that the repair shop said i needed are 104 dollars at autozone. The car is in pretty good condition considering the miles on it. The car cost 70 per month with insurance and 25 per week on a half tank and 46 at a full tank. The car has a 3.6 liter V6, but needs work. Anybody with information if you could give advice please do. The car is a 1992 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight Regency Elite

  • how does this steering wheel interface work?...?
I would like to keep the steering wheel controls when i get a new in dash reciever for my car. i have a 1990 oldsmobile ninety eight regency. In order to keep the controls on the steering wheel i was told that i would need to purchase a universal steering wheel audio control interface thing. I found one except i would like to know if it works for my car. Also if it does i really dont understand what connects to what. Some help would be much appreciated. Thanks http://store.mp3car.com/SWI_X_Steering_Wheel_Audio_Control_Interface_p/com-004.htm
Answer:The interface module will be connected to power and ground, and will have another wire that will connect to the steering wheel control wire in your factory harness. There will be an infrared emitter that will need to be mounted somewhere in the vehicle, with a line of sight to the front of your new CD player. This module has to be used with a CD player that comes with its own wireless remote. You'll connect the module, then program it using the wireless remote. For each control button on your steering wheel, you'll program a matching function from the wireless remote. After the programming is complete, the module will just send the same signal as the wireless remote, through the infrared emitter, whenever you use the steering wheel controls. You can get exact instructions for installation in your vehicle through this link: http://www.peripheralelectronics.com/peswix.aspx If you pick a new CD player with a wired remote input on the back (found on most new Pioneer models, and some other brands) then you can get a different steering wheel control module that doesn't use the infrared emitter. Routing and placing the emitter is the toughest part of the installation with this module.

Answer:its pretty straight forward... it says a three wire setup in most cars, and would have instructions as to what connections are needed, also it says 95% of vehicles after 1986 are compatible and then also says "oldsmobile" so have a think about it

    Answer:

  • How much would you say this car is worth? (Please only Experienced individuals)?
Its a two-door 1976 Oldsmobile Regency Ninety-Eight, it has the original interior in mint condition. Also it has the original paint which is still in better shape than most new cars today. Everything on this car is original, even the motor. It has a Oldsmobile big block 455 rocket with less that 57,000 original miles on it. The car itself fires up, and starts on the first try. Its truly in good shape. I'll have to repair the brake lines/gas lines/tires/carburetor/ and possibly the gas tank because it has been sitting around for a few years. Overall though, those are pretty much the only major problems I have with the car right now, I'm sure I'll find some smaller problems later, but overall what would you say the car is worth now? and what would you say its worth after I fix it up? I'm not looking to sell it because it was my grandfathers car and I wanna keep it for a long time. I'm just interested in its overall value, so I can compare it to how much I paid for it. I appreciate the feedback Tom. I completely agree with you. I know this car isn't the most beautiful, or the most sougth after. It just holds some sentimental value, like i'm sure your 71' Riviera does to you. As for you tom, you obviously have no idea how much classic cars are worth. I could get more than $500 for this motor in its current edition.
Answer:I would say about 8k now and maybe 12k fixed up. It is hard to say because finding a buyer for a classic car can be difficult. Full-size cars are not worth nearly as much as smaller pony cars and muscle cars. Also, 1976 was a very low horsepower year and not the best looking. However your car would get a lot of attention at a car show because of its uniqueness, but when it comes to dollars it would not be worth an extraordinary amount.
