Answer:if book value shows 9k and the asking price is 4800....this is a no brainer......there is something wrong. I'll bet it's got a dirty carfax, and other issues. take it to a good body guy and mechanic if you decide to go with it.

Answer:Probably won't give you many problems, but it IS a used car. 107K is a little high, but not alarming. Chances are the mileage is highway, and not that big a deal. More important, has it been in a collision? Is everything straight? Does the SRS warning lamp stay on? Does the Check Engine" light stay on? Does the engine oil look like it was JUST changed? Is there oil or debris in the coolant? Transmission fluid smell? These are the tell-tale signs to pay attention to. Pretty much everything else is simply maintenance related. How do I get rid of check engine light on a 1996 Toyota Avalon XLS myself (without spending $$), the light is there for a year, i showed it to a mechanic, he said its not a big deal. Now i m planning to sell this car and want to get rid of this the light (atleast for a month) before i show it to potential buyers.
Answer:usually if u unhook the positive battery cable this will clear any codes, but if there is a promblem it will just come back on again
I have a keyless entry remote with a lock, unluck, and trunk button for my 1997 toyota avalon. I replaced the batteries but it still will not operate. I assume I need to reprogram it. Does anyone know the proper steps? Thank You. In addidtion, the toyota manual is of no help. It doesnt include a sequence to reprogram it. and I do not want to take it to a dealer.

Answer:Yes its safe. You should open and look at the battery so you can go to the store (i.e. Walmart, or Autozone) and get a new battery. If you call the dealer, i am sure they can tell you what kind it takes
