we've recently bought a volvo c70 , 2001 y reg, we got given the code to type in to get it working but 2 days ago we left home with it and tryed guessing the numbers, we got it wrong a few times then next thing the stereo is saying OFF, it wont let us key any codes in. been told to leave it for 24 hours then it will reset it self, but that does'nt work either, help ???xxx
Answer:Disconnecting the battery wont make any difference to it, it is on a lockout and it needs to be left up to one hour with the radio switched ON either in the car (with the ignition on or out on a power supply) it will then reset and allow you to put the correct code in. It can be reset right away but you would need to take it to a local car radio dealer to get this done.

its a lightish blue right now that i dont really like, however i know with it repainted i would look amazing, but how much would it cost to strip the paint and just have a really nice new job?

i recently wanted to buy a 2000 volvo c70 Lt for 7k but my dad said since its 9 years old might be rusting even know it looks fine. Volvo is a quality brand but would it rust in next couple years if i buy it
Answer:I own a 1994 Volvo without a spot of rust. If the paint is good, and there's no chips or cracks to let water or moisture in, the metal will not rust. Rust isn't magic. It happens for a reason - water on bare metal. Good paint stops rust.
This only happens when I'm in drive. Its picks back up again though. I'm just waiting for the day it completely stalls out when I'm sitting their. This is my first car. I'm think it has to do with fuel delivery but anyone's guess is as good as mine.
Answer:My car is a Nissan Maxima and it had the same problem before. Mine was some sort of throttle body actuator, which I guess is some kind of sensor that has something to do with fuel and air and combustion and all that. They also cleaned the throttle body. No problems since.
